Questions, answered plainly.

No fine print, no dark patterns. If something here isn't covered, get in touch.

Account

How do I get started?

You start with the consultation, a real conversation, not a form. That's your entry point; a matchmaker works from it.

Can I pause or leave?

Yes, anytime, in two taps. No phone call and no survey. Billing stops at the end of that month.

Can I change my details later?

Yes, your record is a living profile you can revise. Big changes get re-explored in conversation rather than silently overwritten.

Matching

Is there swiping or a feed?

No, on purpose. One introduction at a time, each with a written case for why you two should meet.

Can I browse other members?

No. Nobody browses anyone. Introductions are made for you, not shopped for.

How many matches will I get?

Fewer, better ones. If no one clears your bar right now, we tell you the truth instead of sending filler.

Why don't I see more matches?

Because more isn't the goal. The right one is. We'll show you what we're actively doing for you and the honest depth of your pool, and every decline you make sharpens your next slate. We will never invent activity to look busy: if the pool is thin right now, we say so.

What does the free tier actually get me?

You're findable and receptive: after the consultation you're verified and in the pool, and introductions from paying members can reach you at no cost, ever. What free doesn't include is a matchmaker actively hunting on your behalf: no engine working your search, no weekly slate, no one out looking for you until you go active. We'd rather say that plainly than dress it up.

What happens when I want to pursue someone as a free member?

You'll see the suggested introduction for free, and receiving it never costs anything. When you decide you want us actively working your search, you take a month of Active Matching. It doesn't renew unless you want it to, and saying yes to a person is never itself a charge. If you decide it isn't for you, you close it and owe nothing.

Do paying members get shown first?

No. Your tier never changes where you appear in anyone's introductions. Fit alone decides who shows up in a why. Paying buys the platform's effort on your behalf: whether a matchmaker is actively working your search, and how much human review and orchestration you get. It never buys position in someone else's slate.

Is there in-app chat?

No chat between matches, ever. Logistics are structured. The point is to meet, not to text a stranger for three weeks.

Privacy

Who sees my information?

A human matchmaker, to make and explain your introductions. Your private attraction ratings are never shown to any person or match.

Who sees my profile, and when?

Only a matchmaker, and then one person at a time, in sequence, never a crowd. Introductions go one direction at a time: when a match is found, one side is shown the case and decides first, and only on their yes is the other side shown. So no one is ever weighing you against a lineup. Sometimes you are the side who decides first, and sometimes the case reaches you already accepted, but it is never both of you at once. There's no directory, no browsing, and no one can look you up.

Can I make sure I see them before they see me?

Yes. By default, when our search finds someone for you, we show them your case first and bring them to you once they've said yes, so a case from your own search reaches you already accepted (the trade is that your basic details reach that one vetted person before you weigh in). When somebody else's search finds you, you are the one shown first and you decide first. One of you always goes first, and it is never both of you at once. You can switch to “second look only,” which means nothing of yours is shown until you've seen the other person and said yes. It's more private, you're shown to fewer people, and the honest trade-off is that you're sometimes the one who makes the first move, so some matches come slower or rarer. You can change this anytime in your profile.

What does the other person actually see about me?

The why, a written case for why you two should meet, plus basic details. Not your private attraction ratings, not anything sensitive you told the AI, not your contact information, and not a browsable profile they can screenshot and forward, because there's no feed or handle behind it to resolve to. It's less exposure than a shidduch resume forwarded through three WhatsApp groups, not more.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your consultation, your private ratings, and your profile are encrypted at rest, we run no trackers, and we never sell your data or share it for advertising. Your voice goes to a transcription service for the seconds it takes to turn it into text, and we keep only the text, encrypted. Security is a launch requirement, not a later feature.

Will people in my community stumble on my profile?

There's no public directory and no browsing, so no. Your profile is never shown to anyone you haven't been introduced to.

Billing

Why does billing stop when I'm dating someone?

Because our revenue is tied to your success, not your searching. When you two say “just us,” matching and billing pause.

Do I have to put money down to be trusted here?

No. We asked ourselves that and decided against it. Everyone here does a live verification instead, which is a better test of whether someone is real than thirty six dollars ever was. A deposit would have charged every honest member to deter the few who aren't, and we'd rather deal with those few directly.

Is there a fee if you make my marriage?

Yes, the customary shadchanus, disclosed up front at signup ($1,000 to $2,000 per side); the final figure is set with rabbinic guidance.

Can I get a refund?

Subscription time already used isn't refunded mid-cycle, which we say plainly up front. Cancel anytime and billing stops at the end of that month.
